This Bill giving the NCAA back the investigative and oversight power over NIL in addition to forcing athletes to complete the 1st 3 yrs of academic eligibility before transferring w/out penalty may kill this thing instantly.

I think there will be major division. It would do away with the wide open transfer portal and place more importance on the student-athlete aspect. Which in theory is a good thing, but in the reality of NIL pay-for-play we see now it won't be favorable.

Forcing the school to cover an athlete's healthcare insurance for years after they leave the school and picking up their out-of-pocket medical costs is great for athletes. But the financial structure the Bill uses may get some negative feedback.

honestly I dont hate any of these rules, but i don’t know how i feel about US Co fred’s making them.

idk if the limitations in NIL will hold up in the SCOTUS but I havent thought to hard about it either.

the NCAA should change their transfer rule but it’s crazy they’re spending time making a law about it.

It shouldn't make it out of committee.

Another notable provision in the bill would require athletes to complete three years of residency at a given institution before being eligible to transfer without penalty.

That killed it for me. No athlete in this age should have to stay anywhere he doesn't want to be. I say go. But 3 years,,no!!!

People forget how we got here and all this sitting out a year and it's hurts the integrity of the game is overrated. They owe us nothing and neither do college's. So let them be. So let them transfer if they want out. Even to a rival,as far as I'm concerned.
