Dang…they spent some time to lay out what a POS “writer” is. Also., I agree, Dude is a lying POS.

I feel like the admin knew he was bluffing and called him on it. Probably even provided the opportunity to quietly retract without UGA going public with requesting it but the idiot just got scared and ghosted them. Judd probably has zero idea how much credibility he could gain by saying hey I got ahead of myself and claimed some stuff I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry.

They gutted that reporter countering each and every lie he printed with DOCUMENTED FACTUAL EVIDENCE. If the AJC doesn't meet their very specific demands to the letter, there will be a lawsuit filed immediately. I hope they do.

In all honesty Judd will be removed of his duties, and there will be a retraction of the story buried somewhere in a Tuesday edition of the AJC in print so fine you’ll need a 10x micro scope to read it.

Judd should be sued personally, along with each and every supervisor who allowed that hit piece to be printed along with the AJC. It’s time UGA goes on the offensive and end the blatant disregard and reckless reporting that comes out of that staff.

UGA general counsel basically sent the AJC a draft letter of a complaint summary they intend to file soon. Cox Media's legal team is now preparing a retraction and an out of court settlement.

I predict the opposite. This might even go national, beyond sports media, people circling the wagons around this poor little hard working reporter who had the courage to take on a large institution who is now bullying him.
It's a demand letter to retract the bullshite, with the "or else" implied but not stated.
I think this gets much bigger than it is now.

The thing I truly don’t get, other than Judd’s accusations being over the top, is that everything he mentions went to law enforcement/legal system. Not covered up or buried and also properly handed by University. He just seems to not like it.

I agree, and I think this is a great summary of both opening and closing arguments for all parties involved who have a cause of action.
Imagine if your son, Gregory Illinivitch, went to UGA, and got accused of a crime off campus, outside of any university oversight, and the cops investigated the crime, and determined no crime had been committed, and the largest newspaper in the state reports that your son Gregory Illinivitch is part of an Institutional Rape Machine, with little to no citation, and a little fabrication, what would you do? I know what I would do. I would have a long talk with junior, and then I'd sue the frick out of the AJC.

This isn’t a case of “little fabrication”. This was a full blown hit piece full of deceit, manipulation, and flat out lies. Now Judd and the AJC have been called out…with actual facts disputing the hit piece. The appropriate response would be a swift retraction from the AJC and denounce Judd….but Chip Towers and Mike Griffith are beat writers and they are just as bad. I hope UGA legal staff goes after them all.
Report any and all news, without bias, and let the masses make their own conclusions. But the AJC has drifted into Headline punches with narratives hidden behind paywalls….and the articles are flat out bullshite. It’s sad people refuse to read a 9 page response but will continue to comment at length with little to no knowledge other than a headline. I still can’t understand how a juveniles name was released in a news article when no charges were filed.
