Capital One Cup - How are we this bad?

I gather this award measures programs we don't have and maybe that's why we're nearly at the bottom of all men's programs measured. But could someone more familiar with this explain how we're at the bottom of the league with this? Is it just about programs we don't have or did we just get rid of the worst athletic director in Auburn history?
I know we didn't have the best year, but wow.

To answer your question...For one thing it is the scoring....You have to be in the top 10 to score points in an individual sport.
There are 12 sports in the Group A. Of which Auburn's men only participates in 6 of them...Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Swimming, Golf and Tennis.
The group B Auburn only participates in 3 of the 7 sports...Football, Baseball and Basketball.
So obviously Auburn did not have a Top 10 finish in msot of those sports.

Women’s not ranked at all?
And how is Georgia that high?

Between the two…I’d much rather be left out of the “Fulmer-Cup” standings

What am I missing with these metrics. I've never seen them before and why do they matter?
Florida is ranked as #1 - they didn't win a ship in anything important, did they? (I recognize their CWS run this year)

The list is obviously not entirely fair to Auburn.
As fans we mainly care about the big 3 and not so much about individual or Olympic sports. I just want the big three relevant year in and year out.
And for me personally I don’t even care about baseball so Big 2.
However, I’d love for Auburn to be the everything school that it’s speaking into existence. It makes the off seasons shorter.
We also fricked ourselves in swimming and diving. Arkansas dominates
Track and Field. There is no reason why we couldn’t be the Arkansas of swimming and diving.

It is just as fair to Auburn as it is the other programs.
We just suck right now at most sporting things

We suck at things but we also don’t field teams in sports that could’ve led to performance points.
There is a shite ton of context needed if there are sports like rowing accumulating points.

This is Florida's 3rd time winning the cup since this started in the 2010-2011 season.
Florida Total:
36 points - 2nd in Baseball
20 points - 1st in Men's Golf
20 points - 1st in Men's Outdoor Track and Field
10 points - 3rd in Men's Indoor Track and Field
5 points - 6th in Men's Swimming and Diving
Auburn Total:
1 Point - 10th Men's Swimming and Diving
1 Point - 10th Men's Golf

The Big 3 do count more than the other sports. Although they have a "Big 7" that are 3x more than the other sports:
Football
Basketball
Baseball
Soccer - Not Many SEC Schools, but there are over 200 D1 Schools with Men's Soccer
Wrestling
Men's Gymnastics - I don't get this one.
Lacrosse - Don't get this one either.
A championship in any of the Big 3 alone would be a top 10 finish in the cup.

Would think uat or jawja are in the lead for this year's award with 3rd place way off in the distance.
