We all have seasons from the pre-BCS era where we feel hosed. That fact makes us deciding to pick 1941 as the random non-AP/Coaches title in our bag to claim utterly baffling.

I can't for the life of me understand our 1941 claim either. We claim 1941...a year we barely finished in the Top 20 in some polls instead of 1945...a year we went undefeated outscoring our regular season opponents 396-66 before beating USC 34-14 in the Rose Bowl. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
