Since UF started focusing on becoming one of the best public universities in the nation the enrollment became more nerdy every year.
The typical UF student these days cares little about sports. Being this close you can see it happening year after year.

That's too. Florida has fans all over tho. I do agree with some of the other posters about other things to do in Florida. Florida has great beaches and beaches are just hard to top in this part of the country. LSU has the absolute most die hard fans in the country and it ain't close. No other fan base comes close. Those people will die for LSU. Not just baseball or football, they will do for LSU, period. That type of loyalty is admirable.

I think it’s a statewide thing across all sports pro and college. College Football really moves the needle unlike anything else. Look at TB Rays games… they’re the best team in baseball and the Trop is lucky if it’s half full most nights. Even the NFL teams don’t exactly have the most passionate fanbases.

They are still shell shocked from their dumster fire football team's performance last year.
I'd latch onto this baseball team if i were them because Sunbelt billy aint winning anything of note anytime soon.

I think it might. When LSU fans actually remember that the sport of college baseball consists of LSU fans and hardly anyone else, it's difficult to truly celebrate a CWS title.
