I don't get all of these long arse, wacky freaking haircuts/mullets/blowouts and 70's pornstaches a lot of players seem to be into, so I can't limit my criticism to WF for general douchebaggery. A lot of them look fricking ridiculous. Don't even get me started on all of the stupid chains. If you're wearing a cross or something personal, cool, but you shouldn't look like Mr. T on the field.

1. College Baseball players in general tend to be a rather odd grouping of some of the broiest bros on any given campus. Good dudes usually, just weird and very group think driven.
2. Wake has said they kind of identify as being over the top in their weirdness. For whatever reason it helps their confidence and mentality

It was brought up during the broadcast of one of the earlier games in the CWS. They interviewed the Wake coach midgame and they asked him about the antics and team vibe and he said something to the effect of yeah they’re kinda out there but they found something that works for them so he’s supportive of it
