Good day to be a USM grad and an LSU fan

Hard to understand how someone can graduate from one school yet root for another school. Why not go to LSU or transfer if you couldn't get in out of high school? And if you are going to that school because of a niche course of study, it is hard to understand you not becoming a fan while you are there.

Oh, come on, this isn't remotely the same thing as being an LSU fan attending Alabama or an Alabama fan attending Auburn. I would venture to guess that most sports fans attending G5 or FCS schools are bigger fans of a major program.

As someone who did the same thing, I grew up an LSU fan because I watched the games with my grandpa who went to LSU. I never applied to LSU though as it was much cheaper to go to Southern Miss since I lived near the campus and was paying my own way.

LSU and Southern Miss are at completely different levels of competition so it doesn't really conflict much.
