This OU team is just flat out unfair.

I don’t understand how you can not start your All American ace in the biggest game of the year. Not only that, but you opt for someone who has awful the past couple of months.

This game was built up like it was game of year I like the Vols players but the coaches are playing scared . You can’t play scared and win games at this level.

TN threw away this game on purpose imo. Win or lose today, they would still have to beat OU twice in the final.

They are saving their good arms to get there.. and not letting OU get looks against them.

Just my opinion.

He is favoring Oklahoma no doubt. I noticed he is giving them a strike if it’s within 6 inches of the plate.

He’s been consistent he’s calling it right . It has nothing to do with umpire . The one questionable pitch we didn’t score a run that inning . Tenn is throwing people who are not good pitchers which has everything to do with it . Go look at Jordy. Alls pitches on right side of plate he’s not calling them either and they we close.

Very interesting point and if I'm the Tennessee coach, my odds of making it out of the elimination game in the other side of the bracket, and beating OU twice are greater than beating OU 3 times.

Think after 3-0 score they changed their plans … I would have stuck with the first pitcher she is a good one she just threw one bad pitch .

It wouldn't matter... Oklahoma would win this game regardless. Tennessee has no shot. OU is that good, and this is just another run rule for the Sooners.

9-0 win on one hitter

58-1 record

50 straight wins

Tenn first time run ruled this year

Tenn can thank their catcher for that play. She has been jerking the ball over the plate on every pitch. That time she didn’t need to and jerked it anyhow cc

I tend to agree. Starting the ace was the only to win, but that was slim at best. Now it’s OK State, likely Florida State twice as the road to a best of 3 showdown. I rather do that with my top 2 rested, rather than pitching them in a game you’d have to play perfect to have a shot.

I don’t get the throwing a game away strategy. If you can’t beat them today with best pitcher you can’t beat them 2 of 3 eithrt.

Had Tenn threw best pitcher and won they get Sun off anf force OU to losers bracket.

If afraid to lose why are you even here?

IMo this was a horrible decision by Tenn coach. Did her team a disservice

Next bad decision was pulling first pitcher.

You want to win a title yet throw games away before even playing it. Losers mentality

Weekly didn’t care about this game. She kept her top 2 pitchers in the bench the entire game. Payton and Rogers are 36-2 combined on the season, Rogers is an All American and Karen didn’t send either out.

I don't know. I think Oklahoma is just that good and they get to play at home which would be like letting Alabama or UGA play every football championship game at home. That's a lot to overcome.

I think the LVs have a great team but Oklahoma has just been so much better than everyone else. I said before we're all playing for 2nd place and I believe that to be true. However, since the LVs got stuck in Oklahoma's bracket we're kinda fricked early.

I want to think we're being strategic and that we're better than that game but I just think Oklahoma can do that to even great teams as they've been doing it for 3 years.

stuck in Oklahoma's bracket we really don't even get a crack at 2nd

The loser of the winner's game switches to the other side of the bracket to face the winner of the loser's game.

So, you do in fact still have a chance for 2nd.

I believe Weekly is a great coach given what she's been able to do with our team the past few season's but it just sounds kinda out there to me. But maybe y'all are right. I'm only a casual follower of softball anyway so there's a lot I admittedly just don't know.
