Let’s not forget the true meaning of today.
I will never forget the sacrifices the 1% mad to make sure we are safe. Men like Joseph Bovia are the reason we are able to do what we do everyday. Had a chance to get out, but instead he extended his contract to be able to go to Afghanistan to lead his Marines and fight to keep America safe. Great Marine, but even better friend.
Thank you Sgt Bovia

Appreciate the brave men who serve our country. If it weren't for them I couldn't drink beer and shitpost on this forum in peace.

That’s damn right!
Today is not a day to celebrate those who served. It is a day to celebrate those who died while defending our freedoms. God bless them all.

A much better post than the clown who posted yesterday, who clearly never had any family in the military and has no clue what the meaning of today is.
Thank you to all those who have laid down their life for this country.

All gave some... some gave all. Remember and honor

I wish more folks would remember what this day really is.
Being a veteran, I have had many folks approach me to say thanks for my service on this day.
I promptly tell them, I appreciated their thanks but today is not about the living veterans and military personnel...Memorial Day is a day to honor the many brave men and women who donned the uniform and fought for our freedom, only to meet an untimely death in doing so.
REST IN PEACE MY BROTHERS & SISTERS!

Exactly. Army vet here, 8 years active, 7 SCARNG. We can sit here and joke/argue about our regionals BECAUSE of the sacrifices of those that gave all,and those that were willing to give all.

Fox Red Sector, Omaha Beach...that's where my grandfather went ashore during the D-Day invasion. I take NO freedoms for granted in this great nation. They came with a great price tag.

Some one would downvote a post about an American soldier storming the beaches of Normandy? Whoever you are, you're a lowlife and an anti-American communist. In the words of the late great Merle Haggard; If you don't love it, leave it!

Some people are just sick. You have Americans in the United States that actually cheer for the Taliban when they kill a service member. frick them and pay them no attention bro. They will get all the attention they need on Judgment day.
