I've lived in (traveled extensively) Europe and South America. Stationed in GA, FL, LA, KY, VA, PA, KS, HI, NC, SC, DC, MS, TX ((pending) and grew up in AL. Recreational travel to Australia, Japan, SE Asia (multiple countries), and the Galapogos (albeit technically South American). Deployments or operational/training assignments in Africa and across the middle east, Phillipines and S. Korea.
Visited 35+ plus states. AK is a bucket list, never made it.
Guess what I've learned? The South is only differentiated by Southerners. We are all the same backwoods ilk to the ignorant majority of the world and US that is blind to what it has to offer.
Venture out of GA, away from your shitty, non-Gulf Coast beaches and enjoy life.
Or, not. I genuinely don't care. Live in your shell.

Yeah, I’m sure the fact that Georgia is one of the premier destinations to shoot tv show and movies just keeps perpetuating your idea that everyone else in the world thinks we are Alabama.
