Georgia, a public Ivy, admitted him. I’m amazed that some people are still so butthurt over their teams being destroyed by UGA they make these inane posts about a guy who was the MVP in the SECC game and in all 4 of the playoff games he played in. Two natties don’t lie. This guy is good.

Georgia is not difficult to get into.

And big "lol" at the idea that Georgia is a public ivy. That would be Berkeley, UCLA, UVA, Michigan etc.

Honestly it sounds like he was just taking credit hours for eligibility without worrying about building those towards a degree. I forget whether it was my senior year or whether it was in grad school but at one point I was taking all electives - film, law, you name it, because I needed the hours to keep the student loan people from coming after me but I didn't actually need anything in particular at the moment in time to fulfill any degree requirements.

If you never really cared about anything other than staying eligible you could do something like that your entire time in college and never get a degree. It would be a complete waste to do that but athletes and young adults don't always make the wisest long term decisions.

Stetson will graduate in May. He will have a UGA public Ivy degree, 2 NC rings and an SEC championship ring. His time sure wasn’t wasted.

how woud a Gump know whats difficult to get into. Bama begs kids with 2.75 HS GPAs to enroll and gives merit money for kids with 3.1 HS gpa and 1100 SAT

Average for 2022 UGA freshman :

1450 SAT
33 ACT
4.2 GPA

Bama 2022:

NO TEST SCORES NEEDED
2.75 GPA

FULL RIDE OOS merit money at BAMA:

1300 SAT
3.5 GPA

Maybe because he is so good at football, he doesn't need one.
Couldn’t you accidentally get a degree in 6 years of college?

GA fans should want their program to graduate players, especially 6 year players.

How is that possible?

He didn’t play school. He came from Juco where they give grades for just showing up to class. Once he became the starter at UGA they made sure he would receive the same treatment as he did at Juco.

Well since we're getting into the topic, I went to Harvard. Georgia is easy to get into. Harder than Alabama, but still easy. Thanks.

Sure. You went to Harvard. Lol
Why don’t you drop by one day and I’ll show you my PhD from Oxford.
Georgia is hard to get into. It is a public Ivy. I didn’t declare this - the people who rate universities did. I didn’t say it was harder to get into than Harvard. Only that it was declared a public Ivy with stringent admissions requirements. A top quality education is available for those who qualify
And a point of interest. Top students at UGA can study at Oxford. Its in England, Gumps. Georgia has a joint program with Oxford where Georgia students can go, live in a UGA owned mansion and study. I know because a friends son did this several years ago. He stayed and got his masters there before coming home and enrolling at John’s Hopkins for a PhD. As far as I know this program is still ongoing at Georgia. I think a similar arrangement still exists between UGA and a top school in Italy too
