Listen UGA fans hate that they scheduled 13 scrubs last season before the playoffs.

We have to play 12 more crap teams this season. Most UGA fans agree they all suck hard and are an embarrassment that they are the same field. Hopefully Opponent number 13 can stay within 20 points this year but it’s doubtful because UGAs schedule is so easy and filled with Scrub teams.

Especially since Kirby came home…..

UGA played both Oregon and LSU in Atlanta (home games). Murderer’s row my foot.

That's not what I meant. You are saying WE had a cup-cake schedule, but 2 of the teams we beat, DEFEATED the Tide. So, if LSU and UT were 'cup cakes' and they beat Bama, then, what does that make Bama?

So your answer to the question of YOUR schedule is to deflect to a Bama team we all know wasn't even that good?

Wait...(gasp)...are my eyes deceiving me?! A Tide fan is ADMITTING that Bama wasn't even that good last season? My God in Heaven, everyone run for your lives, the Apocalypse is upon us!

#6 at Home
#15 Neutral Site
#16 Neutral Site
#20 away
#23 away

vs

#6 away
#16 away
#20 home
#25 away

An extra ranked opponent > one more away game.

Oh, then UGA added neutral site games against #2 and #4 in the post season. Bama added... #14.

7 of the 15 games on UGA's 2022 schedule were against ranked opponents... which is a ton for a college football team.

Not only that, of the 9 losses the top 5 teams after UGA had in 2022, 7 were either delivered by UGA, or by a team UGA beat head to head.

UGA's 2022 season was against an extremely difficult schedule and UGA absolutely dominated it. Against those 7 ranked opponents, UGA won by an AVERAGE of 29 points. Only 1 game was won by less than a 2 TD margin.

You should just let 2022 go. I'll keep talking about it all you want because it was so dominant for UGA. But you're just making yourself feel bad by bringing it up thinking you can make people think less of it.

I mean, I'm all for talking about how awesome UGA is over and over. I just don't see what you get out of it.

So... let's follow this statement to it's logical conclusion.

The #5 team wasn't that good.

UGA beat the #2 and #4 and #6 team.

The #2 team that UGA beat by 58 points beat the #3 team.

Conclusion... UGA was a LOT better than everyone else in college football last season.

Which means... UGA was DOMINANT.

We may not make the SEC game…..depends if we can find a dependable QB. Defense in good hands with Kevin Steele.

UGA’s first 7 games in 2023….also known as murderer row??

I smile when I see it.

We've punished ourselves with stupid scheduling in the past.

I don't mind this being a cyclical occurrence.
The goal is 3 in a row.

Tough to say. Last year UGA's schedule was considered weak after Oregon going into the year. Tennessee, SC and MSU ended up surprising.

This year UGA's schedule is considered weak after Tennessee. But we'll see. Perhaps Ole Miss or Auburn is a ranked team. Perhaps Kentucky or Florida steps up. We can discuss next year when it's done to know for sure. Right now we know UGA's 2022 was an extremely tough slate (5 ranked teams before bowls, 2 more added from the bowls) and UGA crushed it (won against ranked teams by an average of 29 points).

Thank you! Heck, Clemson has won 2 Natties being in the ACC in recent history playing a weak ACC schedule. So, why risk playing tough games when you'll end up playing Ohio st or Michigan or Oklahoma or some other tough teams in the playoffs and for the whole ball of wax.
It really does set up perfect. We'll have two relatively easy games to get Beck or BVG comfortable before we have our first real test at SC. Then a couple of more fine-tuning games before our annual breaking-one-off-in-them game against the Vols.
Then it's smooth sailing all the way to the SECCG.

There have been some really good Nick Saban-led football teams over the years, with 2009, 2015, and 2020 being several that come to mind. However, the 2022 Alabama football team should be in the conversation at the end of the season. There is a lot of depth, which raises the question: Does this team have enough potential to be the best team Nick Saban has ever coached?
Roll Tide Wire

Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide are once again the favorites for the National Championship in 2022.
Texas Inside

Nick Saban on first radio show of season: ‘I like this team, I really do’
We’ve got a little more maturity on the team, I think. We’ve got good guys on the team. They work hard. They’ve got a really good attitude. We’ve got really good leadership.” He says he likes the intangibles the team has but he’s not necessarily saying it’s his most talented team. “We’ll see about that,” he said.

AL.Com

"We all know wasn't very good". Maybe you should tell that to everybody else?

I find it quite odd that Alabama posters want to claim we play a cupcake schedule. Irony at it's finest.

But yeah. "Muh. Injuries."

You do understand that in Alabama's first 7 games in 2023 every single team lost 5 games or more, right?

I mean, yeah. We have a relatively weak schedule, but maybe Tide fans should sit this one out?
The hardest game you have from your own division lost 4 games and we beat them by 20 points.
Your toughest overall game beat you last year and we beat them by 14 and if not for the rain we might have beaten them worse.

Yeah. Sit this one out.

Georgia could easily have been 11-2 last year with loses to Missouri and Ohio State.

Instead, the better team won both.
