Ole miss has just as many national championships in baseball yet state claims to be the founders of college baseball like Tennessee.
State claims to be a basketball school with a rich history of success yet only has 3 more tournament appearances than ole miss.
Ole Miss owns the football head to head and has a better overall record, bowl appearance record, and better national brand.
The difference is and always will be that ole miss works to judge its successes and failures on a national level and state, especially the fans, only judge their successes and failures against ole miss. Job security at Mississippi state isn’t winning the sec, it’s winning against ole miss. That’s it.

At least we’ve never made Egg Bowl Champions hats and passed them out like we just won the Super Bowl

Fact, State IS a national brand. We have a final four apperance and Sec Championship apperance in football. We were ranked #1 in the first CFB playoff poll, none of these apply to ole miss. Ya'll are second in the state in sports, suck it up buttercup.
