and yet Tennessee isn’t on the list. But I thought they were the greatest in baseball history?

I just realized that the SEC would have a 5 streak going with 5 different teams if Arkansas had just caught that foul ball.

Well, technically the tejas, Oklahoma and Mizzou Championships are not SEC Championships but ... we get your drift OP.
I am one of the editors of the CWS wiki page and actually built the conference notes, etc., at the bottom of the article 15-20 years ago or so ... and had to fighf some battles with the overlords after expansions and mergers and even the old Pacific Coast League stuff.

That was a shame, but the hurtful part was knowing that though the game wasn’t over and there was another game left that it was over for us. We were toast and I knew it.
Like so many times these things have happened to us in all sports we have that golden opportunity to reach the peak and fall off the mountain.
