A report is out early this morning that a conglomerate based in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks to take ownership of the University of Tennessee baseball team.
The conglomerate, formed during the summer and fall of 2022, took their first steps toward that goal on the evening of March 30th, 2023, after a visit from the Tennessee baseball team. Two meetings remain , tonight March 31st and tomorrow April 1st, before ownership is considered complete.
Asked about the takeover, the group's architect Jay Johnson is quoted as saying, "Two to geaux, then Tennessee will be 3-6 in league play. At this rate, there is no hope for them to host a Super Regional in that tee-ball park they call a stadium - and really, that's what this is about. No self-respecting team trying to get to Omaha should have to play a series there. It's an insult to baseball, so we're just doing our part for the greater good."
The architect for Tennessee, Tony Vitello, could not be reached for comment. However a troubling report is out as well that someone fitting his description was last seen being eaten by Mike the Tiger near the football stadium.

I have enjoyed myself these past 2 weeks building up to this series, and last night's game certainly delivered. Honestly, Vol fan - good game.
Btw I was at the UTenn/ LSU football game this past season and met some Vol fans - sat next to a father and son visiting Death Valley for the first time and talked football, season expectations, hopes, and life. Overall seemed to be a good bunch with some obnoxious idiots thrown in - but that's every fan base.
I genuinely hope this series is as classic and monumental as UTenn/ LSU in Baton Rouge 2018.

LSU is the majority owner of the BaseVols for this weekend, going for the complete sweeping takeover tomorrow.
