HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Director of Athletics Christian Spears has issued the following statement in light of a NY Times story referencing his son, Kai, a walk-on basketball player at the University of Alabama:
"I am just incredibly disappointed in the irresponsible and demonstrably false reporting by the NY Times. We are exploring all legal options at this time. I will have no further comment, instead deferring to the University of Alabama's statement on the matter."

Breaking news, parents claim their kids are innocent
Good stuff. Just absolutely riveting, breaking news.

Louise Bundy always claimed her son was innocent, and stood by him right up until the moment he was executed.

Lol. NY Times hasn't printed a true story in about 10 years. Who are the brain dead morons keeping them in business?

Hits a little bit different when the statement comes from a sitting AD at a Division 1 University and the statement is released via the University’s website.
Of course, I wouldn’t expect wet cardboard level IQ users of the internet to understand that.

So if Ted Bundys dad had a slightly more prestigious job, he could have walked. Got it. Thanks for your insight.

I’m sorry, I’m not going to be able to speak about that,” Spears told the Times.
Interesting statement when asked if he was in the car.

Not really. NYT published a fake news story, because water is wet, and now there are two Universities saying it was fake news.
