In order to answer that question, most of us would need to pay attention to the sport in the first place.
It's hard to argue with the success Dawn Staley has had throughout his career as player and coach. I did enjoy how "Southern Hoops" on SECN spotlighted women's basketball through the years. Really good series and a welcome distraction from the dumpster fire of the LSU men since conference play started.
I will tune in to see how far Mulkey takes this team but I'm an old man set in my ways so I can only promise so much.

Aja Wilson was a dominant player and has proved it in the WNBA. She already has a statue of her

I love Candance but Chamique Holdsclaw was just as good, maybe even better.
Holdsclaw still holds the record for scoring and rebounding in the NCAAT.

No Chamique was back in the mid 90s when the LVs went for a 3-peat in the tourney. She was basically Michael Jordan on a loaded Bulls team -- so good it wasn't fair.

Honestly never heard of her. I'd say a couple players from Summits time would be up there, the girl that played Center at UConn would be in the conversation. I think UCLA had someone back in the day that was very prolific and led the women to a gold medal as well as an NCAA title.
