Id do anything to see us get to 40 wins this season. It used to be the norm, but now it feels like a tall task.

Feels like I maybe took how good Gamecock baseball was for granted sometimes.

15 years in a row and 17 of 19 from '98-'16.

I remind myself and others of this during the Astros current run. It's not normal to make the ALCS 6 years in a row, make 4 WS, and win 2 titles.

Basically my entire childhood up until I left grad school we got to 40 wins, were perennially ranked (we might’ve fallen out a couple times at most), and were guaranteed to make the tournament, often as a regional host or even supers host. We set several regular and post season records along the way.

The idea that we’d be scrapping and fighting just to be a “bubble” team for so long would seem unfathomable not too long ago.

ETA: I like the idea of getting rid of divisions as well.
