Our DL coach has done a hell of a job with Jurnigan and Kristian Williams and not to mention Darius. Giving him a more athletic DL is never a mistake.

Actually since my previous post I've read Gator fan comments who are very upset about losing him in particular.
Sounds like they think he's on the cusp of a breakout.

Something to keep an eye on, drink has recently started following florida junior CB Jaydon Hill, and also florida 2024 signee 5 star LB Myles Graham.

So weird. Graham just signed his LOI lol

Can dudes leave if the dude that recruited them leaves or is it only their HC?
Posted on 12/30/23 at 12:40 pm to GalacticaCannon
I think dudes can leave for any reason they want now.

Only HC unless school releases them from LOI. Kid was pissed for a day when LB coach left, but he is a legacy, he ain't going anywhere.

Not only did drink start following him, but all the defensive coaches started following graham as well. I guess things could get interesting this spring.

I guess anything is possible these days, but I can't believe Earnest would be very happy about that.

But spitballing, but what does a legacy kid even mean these days in the era of CFP and NIL?

Don't get me wrong, he didn't just automatically sign with Florida. He shopped around first.
But dad is 5th on their rushing list, so I'm sure local NIL opportunities are much better because of that connection.
It's like, how much more would St. Louis NIL support be for Jeremy Maclin's son.

Scooby Williams UF Lb hits the portal. He has 2 years of eligibility
We had good luck with the last Florida LB transfer

He's a 3-4 OLB which for us is a undersized DE. The Purdue or Miami of Ohio transfers fit us better. Especially the guy from Purdue because he has similar size to Darius.

Speaking of the Purdue DE Scourton.
He visits Missouri on the 5th
His top 4
OU, FL ST, A&M, MIZZOU

Is the Purdue DE a serious possibility?

Not speaking as a fan...Mizzou really should be his only option. He has 2 years of eligibility, don't waste 1 learning a new system. With Mizzou, you literally give him Darius' jersey (wash it first) and send him out there. He runs the exact same responsibilities as the guy going to the NFL.

A friend with connections told me he (Nic Scourton) is cousins with Mekai Miller and we have a good chance.
:fingerscrossed:

He also has a cousin at A&M and their campus is 15 minutes from his house. He visits there before he visits us however, so it would be a positive if he makes it to Mizzous campus.

You have to think A&M is going to drop a generous bag for an elite DE who is a hometown kid, considering all that they've lost to the portal

Let me make this clear...I'm not bragging about being involved with our NIL!
That said, after the disaster A&M just went through with NIL. Meaning they contracted alot of 5 star kids for 2 recruiting classes and got ZERO in return, I'm guessing they are more cautious with their NIL.
NIL donations come from business people. And A&M players were a terrible investment. Most are leaving the program with their NIL in their pockets. I'm betting NIL contracts from A&M are going to be backloaded for a bit.
