Supposedly (my audio isn’t working for some reason) he just said in an interview with barstool that he was going to stay at Georgia but OSU offered him 300-400K cash to go. That’s not surprising in the least. I just find it annoying the kid can basically claim the university is racist and that’s why he’s leaving, totally contradict himself 3-4 years later, and suffer no repercussions.
We all knew the racism thing was a farce to for the NCAA to pass his eligibility waiver anyways but his outright open admittance of it being purely a financial decision…irritating.

It doesn't change that he slandered our university for his on selfish gain. Plus, furthered unnecessary racial division and disharmony in our nation.

I heard Fields deny racism. He did come back and visit the program one time. I never heard Fields claim racism. Do you have a link?

He did, but he should have known better than to shout out the N word in public and not expect some kind of repercussions.
He shouldn't have gotten kicked off the baseball team for what he did. He was made an example of. Coach Striklin probably had his hands tied given what was going on in the country at the time.

He didn't only get dismissed fromt he team, it affected his classes too.
