Oregon and Washington would be somewhat attractive if they were located in the Midwest -- in the Pacific Northwest, they just don't bring enough to be worth the trouble.

I think Washington and Oregon have enough juice for the big10.

The big10 is already in the west coast so why not add two more good brands.

The B1G already explored this and OR/WA would be dilutive for them.

The B12 has the right to renegotiate with Fox/ESPN if they add additional P5 schools, and adding OR/WA would definitely improve on the 31m deal they have now.

As someone else noted, if Oregon and Washington had enough juice for the Big Ten, they would have already added them by now.

If the Big Ten hadn't added Rutgers and Maryland, and could take 2 teams to get to 16, then maybe the math would be different, but as schools 17 and 18, they just don't work.

Big 10 will almost certainly add Oregon and Washington unless 1 of these things happens.

1. The state legislature doesn’t allow it.
2. There is a shift back to more regional conferences (I hope this happens but doubt it).
