Bruce did a dumb thing by lying about a small indiscretion. He paid the price. He's pretty much owned it ever since.

Sark was a terrible hire and will likely be fired after this season. Still, even you can recognize there is an ethical difference between giving a recovered alcoholic a 2nd chance and hiring someone who has been caught cheating multiple times.

You are missing the point.
A school should be judged by what it does after it realizes someone screwed up.
Immediately after his arrest, Beard was suspended without pay. He was fired with cause shortly thereafter. He never got one cent from Texas after his arrest.
Auburn hired a repeat cheater.
If you can't understand this point I don't think any further discussion will help you.
