Welcome Alabama brothers

I know it’s early but almost feels like a must win for Arkansas for the SEC Championship race. Can’t fall 3 games behind UT and Alabama. Arkansas would still have the return trip to Tuscaloosa too. Also Arkansas’ only game against UT is in Knoxville (same for Bama).

Looks like UT ended up with the easiest conference schedule set up among contenders.

I gotta ask. Who you betting on?

For that, possibly, but Muss tends to treat the SEC championships as a cheery on top of the sundae. Nice, but not what you are really after. It will always been the NCAA for him.

That having been said this should be an interesting match up. Arkansas is still trying to get our legs under us. Something that happened last year when we started off 0-3 in conference play. The problem with the one and done superstar program system is that it takes time to get them to buy into the program and doing things the right way. The same as every other Freshman. But other Froshes can get through their growing pains and be ready to go come Sophomore season. The superstars are in the NBA, or the NBA developmental league after a year.

Alabama is playing extremely well and is certainly battle tested. So you would think that gives them the edge. But... the game is in Bud Walton and beating a Muss coached team in BW is a herculean task (no, seriously, he has been redonkously hard to beat there). If Bama wants to keep that number 4 ranking they have to show they can go into the hog's home and beat them.

A lot of story lines at play in this one. I think its a coin flip game. Bama is playing better but Arkansas is in the comfy confines of Bud Walton.

Unless this is the game where we turn the corner as a team, tonight will depend on Council or Black getting hot.

Not even mad about it. Only reason Auburn won it (at least outright) last season over us was their favorable draw.
