I could see two touchdowns by kickoff and I honestly think we match up much better against them than Ohio State

I hate running against the 3-3-5.
Boom or bust.
And it can take the sizzle out of our playaction

Michigan’s gameplan was plenty good enough to win if they don’t throw 2 pick 6s and fumble on the 1 going in. This game could come down to who plays more cleanly turnover wise.

We are due for some turnover luck too.

I think we are negative on the year.

I truly believe we played the natty last night. We had the much tougher opponent for us, and it showed for close to 3 quarters. TCU played their A+ game and we played maybe our C game. The ship will be righted next Monday night, and we’ll join Bama and Nebraska.

I was saying the same thing. Also, the refs turning a blind eye to holding (except 1 play) had an impact last night.

We match up a lot better with them. They are a run first team that likes to use the run to setup the pass. The games I've watched it seems like their receivers have trouble getting open in tight games when they are forced to run. That's where you will see Duggar tuck and run. He reminds me a bit of Will Levis and their offense is a bit like Tennessee w/ a lot of read option.

I can’t remember the exact number but their defense is ranked near 70th in FBS

Edit: it is 80th

Just checked on The Athletic. Dawgs -13.5 with an o/u at 61.5 .. that thru BetMGM.

TCU averaged over 200 yds a game the last 2 games. I didn't watch their other games but seems they have to run the ball to have any success. Other than the Missouri game we haven't given up any significant rushing yards and even in that game we only gave up 100 yds. Duggar is a north - south runner.

Got a lot of respect for Duggar. Dude is a warrior and will put the team on his back. Although it was a narrow loss, his individual effort in their conference championship game was impressive. This will not be a cake walk. I believe OSU was a tougher opponent but can't sleep on TCU.

Let's just hope we have a solid ref crew that will actually call holding penalties.

Largest point spread in the history of the title game era dating back to 1998 when the BCS started. According to Mike Griffith

I think we need to have a spy on Duggan to keep him from running for 200 yards, and our edge guys have to keep him in the pocket.

I feel way more confident against TCU than OSU.

I was telling my buddy we need to spy Duggan, but he said Kirby never spies. I thought we did against TN to some degree. TCU have receivers of the caliber of Williams and that Og guy. Those guys were as good as it gets. I wonder if we will blitz. TCU is well coached so we need to put together a solid scheme. TCU relies a lot on the run so we'll see.

I hope the other posters in this thread are right. Our pass D is suspect at times and other times it's fantastic - example UT game.

Duggan is a much more athletic QB and I hope he does not give us fits when our secondary shuts down their receivers.

One thing I just realized about them is they are heavy, and I mean heavy, laden with seniors and RS seniors in their starting lineup. They may take the field with guys who were lower rated recruits but they’ve got a lot of experience under their belts and maturity and that counts for something. Brings back memories of the Boise team we faced in the season opener. Having said that, I like our chances, especially if we don’t turn the ball over.
