No real meaningful accomplishments… no NY6 or sniffing a division title in 10 years. Context matters, but peers both inside and outside the SEC have had higher highs.

There’s something to be said for consistency… he’s always fielding well coached, solid teams… but at some point, you have to do something, right?
Great coach. I'm glad Auburn hired Freeze but I wish we'd have looked harder at Stoops. He's built UK up from nothing when he took over, at a school with mediocre accomplishments in football. He has a really solid program at UK and can compete with UGA if things align just right. That's some tall grass. Instead of evaluating Stoops, Auburn got Kiffin a raise, who's basically a chimpanzee with a headset.

Yes. And he's perfect for Kentucky.

You do know that since Stoops became coach in 2013 that only Bama and LSU are the only West teams that have winning records against State.

What deflections? He's won 10 games here twice. Is he some savant? No probably not. Is he way better than what we've had in the last several decades? Yes.

What deflection? We're wondering where your standard of "good" is if your own coaches aren't even producing as Stoops is at Kentucky.

Agreed. Coen is back as OC, we got Leary from NC State as QB, Vandy's Davis at RB, and multiple OL transfers to shore up the line which was our biggest issue this season.

And then the defense will be the defense, which has been consistently good under Stoops.

So when was Auburn's last 10-win season? 2016-2017 under Malzahn?

Kentucky's was in 2021.

Lol the most kentucky answer ever. Im sure theyll take their 2009 national championship and 2012 national title appearance over that time you won 11 games and didnt win your division

He is good for Kentucky. Kentucky is a career .502 career winning % in football history. To say they can do better is not reality. He is the best coach they have ever had.

Do you want Mark Stoops ? Yes, at Vandy. No, at everywhere else.

What Kentucky has shown you ... for the middle and bottom third programs ... is that consistency works. You might move up a third.

Kentucky has. Kentucky has also shown you that doubling the salary of the coach won't make him get to the top third. It will, however, create interest.

The best deal that has happened in the last year or two of college football is someone not throwing 8+ million dollars at Mark stoops

What deflections?

You just haven't got the answer that you wanted and you've got your arse handed to you ITT so now you are trying to move the goalposts.

Just take the "L" and move on.

I'm glad UK isn't on AU's schedule next year. Nobody ever talks about UK's facilities either. If I were Stoops I would consider NFL jobs at this point, not much else.

UK is paying $8.6MM to not be routinely humiliated. It's worked so far.

This makes no sense… we’ve fired two coaches since then
