LSU - worst SEC West Champs ever?

Has there ever been a SEC West Champion that finishes the season not ranked in the Top 25?
Last 3 Games of the season:
Blowout loss to Texas A&M
Blowout loss to Georgia
potential Blowout loss to Bowl opponent
LSU started the season not ranked.
LSU probably ends the season not ranked. (Big Game Brian is who he is, can't win the big one)
That 2 point conversion against Alabama was LSU's season. Going to be a long December for the Tigahs.
I keep hearing LSU fans say, but we only had 30 something scholarship players. Wasn't the limited scholarships because LSU got caught cheating or was it for a different reason?
