No NFL team is going to spend over $9 millon per year on any college coach.

Kiffin's salary at Ole Miss is equal to 5th place in current NFL head coach salaries. Now he may be willing to take a pay cut but not a significant one.

Totally different job. Much less of a pace and there are many other sources of income for NFL HCs.

They don't have to. If they get anywhere close, it will be enough. It's a completely different gig.

But the quality of life for an NFL coach is light years better. So it’s a trade off.
