Let's not hide this... this also isn't easy to fix. You have to have an extremely good to elite RUNNING QB without a really good Oline. So you can move the pocket and do stuff to slow down the pass rush.

This is painfully untrue. Cam took that team from a ~2 loss team to a title team. We had NFL linemen on both sides of the ball - both offensive tackles were drafted and at least 4 defensive linemen in the rotation ended up drafted. We were solid to really good at pretty much every position and had future professionals in every position group. We could rush 3 and get QB pressure all year. Fairley was a as important to the GA win as Cam was.

There were probably 3 other SEC teams that win it all with Cam that year honestly, but calling the rest of the team average is untrue that wasn't an 7-5 or 8-4 type of team.

Bynes is still playing from the defense.
Bates played a long time.

I honestly think it’s easier and more effective to focus on Oline/Dline.

Very hard to find those great QBs that can carry you all the time and recruit them consistently.

A lot more Oline out there and it’s easier to find/teach them. A great Oline can make the rest of your offense look great.

I think a mistake a lot of NFL teams make is drafting their Franchise QB before suring up their Oline. See Cowboys/Eagles for an example of making an Average QB good.
