No. He told them he hasn’t accepted anything yet.

Richard Cross said today in a podcast that Lane was going to Auburn, and had been talking to Auburn “for weeks, maybe longer”.
He also said Kiffin actively pursued the Auburn job.
If you don’t know who that is, he is basically Keith Carter’s mouthpiece. He is the one that broke that Kiffin had a new extension, and that was not by accident.
Lane told the players the report was “false”, he had not accepted another job and he was focused on MSU. It was also reported that he would be the one to tell them instead of them learning from the media.
What he did not say is that he was staying at Ole Miss, and at the time what he said was technically correct as he had yet to receive the formal Auburn offer.
Semantics.
