Despite the critical lack of depth and mid season turmoil, the defense is playing really well and seemingly improving.

We could do a lot worse than Schmedding. The defense is looking better now than earlier in the season.

I'd almost forgotten that teams are allowed to make halftime adjustments. They're nice.

Yeah, kind of sucked scoring no TDs or getting shutout in general for the second half. In each game that Caddy's has coached, we looked better in the second half.

I love what Carnell said in his post game presser. He and Friend came up with the HB Pass and they made the team watch Caddy do it against Georgia.

The second half last night was almost perfect. The defense shut down a dangerous offense and our offense finally stepped up. Best halftime adjustments I've seen at AU in 5+ years.

I was talking to my Bammer brother yesterday and he brought up a good point.
He said in no way should we hire Caddy as HC but said if Harsin had been fired before the season and we rolled with the current staff all season that we beat LSU and are bowl eligible after the WKU win. He said we probably beat Ole Miss as well, but idk.
I do agree we probably would've won the LSU game and we're going bowling and drastically alter their season.

All I would say is a warning… yes, there’s been a turn-around on the team since HARD was deservingly fired.
But that doesn’t mean Caddy should be the next AU HC.
That doesn’t mean that Schmedding should be the next DC.
Will Friend, etc. etc. etc.
They’ve done a great job post-Tater-boys, but the new AD and the next coach deserve the ability to appoint their choices.
I *hope* that Caddy is a preferred choice of the next coach.
Schmedding? Friend? And others?… My thanks and an excellent recommendation.
