Spurrier usually had a reason behind running up the score. I remember when he left Grossman in against Mississippi State in 2001 and was throwing 40 yard bombs late in the 4th quarter when they were up 48-0. All because the year before State had kicked their asses in Starkville and one of their trainers got injured by people rushing the field.
