I dont believe I am about to say this, however, I truly believe Auburn University should make Caddy the full time head coach. Never have we had a head coaching candidate that could connect with both the fanbase and the players on such an emotional and personal level.
Offer him a 3 year contract, 4 million a year. All guaranteed and let the chips fall where they may.
Why you may ask? Because I would rather have 3 years of Caddy selling Auburn than 10 years of analytics. And to the naysayers, Auburn will surround Caddy with so many resources he won't fail. OC, DC, supporting cast and NIL $$$. All of it.

It’s just too risky. Way, way too risky - and even more so risky given that Auburn hasn’t had a winning season in a while and risk getting put even further behind the 8-ball in the SEC.

I’d be game for Caddy if we weren’t able to get Lane or Dan Lanning. Honestly, if we miss on those then I say give Caddy a few years. If nothing else, he’d be able to recruit and I’d rather have him over Deion or Grimes. Also, would rather have him than Freeze.

This is a prime example of being caught up in the moment. Yeah these guys just got done playing for a shithead and have a lot of emotion pushing them but guess what? They are 1-1 in that time. No Caddy isn’t a top recruiter, he’s not an innovative offensive mind either. He knows how to coach running backs but damn dude, if this was Will Friend as interim and the same shite was happening would you want him at HC? This is a top 20 job in the entire country you don’t give it to someone because they were a great player you go and hire the best fricking coach willing to listen.

What if I told you every HC in college football wants the best staff possible? What makes you think Caddy is going to attract a great staff?

One guy repeats verbatim what LSU fans said when they hired O. But let’s replace Burrow with Ashford.
Then we have someone who wants to sign Cadillac to a one year contract. I’m sure that will be great for recruiting. The coaching market will fell TOTALLY different next year.

They legit believe it. Most of these people aren't like us and watch every snap regardless of how the season is going. They have no issues checking out a few years if the coach can't cut it.
