I watched a long form interview with him earlier this year with Bar Stool (I think) and the whole time he was coughing and clearing his throat and sounded like he was drowning in mucus in his lungs, I figured he was just under the weather but toughed it out and did the interview anyway.

Then today I watch his post game presser, months later from the first interview I watched, and it's the same.

He has to clear his throat after every sentence and drink water. And he has to stop his sentences to cough, very pflemmy pneumonia type coughs.

I googled it to see if it's some chronic condition and don't see anything relevant in the search results.

Is he ok?

It's November. He probably has some sort of cold or virus.

Everyone talks that way in Starkville. I went to visit a friend in school there in the 70’s and came back with a chest cold. Part of the job.

Couldn’t help it…..

He has done that for years. I think it’s like a nervous tick or something

His cough/throat clearing seems to come and go with how much he actually wants to do the interview.

He wasn't wrong about the ball calls.

That was clearly roughing the passer against Georgia and it was a fumble strip.
