It’s not uncommon for first year coaches to take an under achieving team and do an immediate turnaround.
Look at Dykes, Riley, and the guy at Washington. All 3 could win conference titles after the team had losing seasons last year.

LSU gave up points by going for it on fourth down a lot in that game. Kelly admitted it and said after the game that Daniels had a good game and all of a sudden, he finds his way and they go o this streak. While today wasn’t pretty, they won. You can that was a skull dragging and that’s ok. We know without Kelly giving confidence the run isn’t possible.
As far as Bama, “skull dragging” is not beating a team on the last play of a game. Skull dragging is when you score way more points than they do.

Good players, good coach, favorable schedule with the road games being against the worst teams on the schedule and the home games against all the good ones. Opposite scenario for main opponents in that regard.

LSU has really good talent. Often times when teams are talented but user perform, a culture change can bring them early success.
Long term success isn’t just about the new culture though. It requires that culture not to get stale for players, player recruitment, player development and the ability to not have a coaching strategy that others figure out.

Your season is permanently stained by that FSU loss. Barely besting Arky isn't exactly a good look as well.

LSU might not have had the depth until Kelly hit the portal but they had plenty talent. Like another poster said Alabama could easily have 2-3 more losses than they do.
