Has there been a more wasted talent than Bryce Young in SEC history?

Someone please tell me who and from whatever school they can say has been a more wasted and sabotaged player than Bryce Young.

Jesus Christ.

The sad thing is, he’s making more flashy and Heisman like plays this year than he was last year, just with slightly worse stats. He doesn’t have a #1 receiver to throw bombs to all game but he as a player is much more fun to watch than last year.

He's not that good. He's all backyard rootypoot.

He'll never win a title and he'll never win a Super Bowl.

You have to be able to see over the LOS to play in the big leagues.

Exactly. He doesn't play based off of rhythm. The way he always shuffles his feet on dropbacks makes it hard for him to throw timing based routes. The biggest issue is he's not a great enough athlete to play the way he plays.

A Heisman winner should take the team on his shoulders and lead them to victory. Both times Bryce Young needed to step up (NC game and last night) he failed miserably. They should revoke his bogus Heisman.

He's not Vince Young.
He's not Drew Brees.

Despite being an exciting college football player, he won't cut it out in the NFL. His stock is dropping.

Wrong.

Vs Tennessee, he didn’t miss the fg.

Vs lsu, he didn’t give up 2 pt conversion.

Dead on accurate. Take away all of his 1st round talent WRs that can burn every CFB secondary and he is just a punch-and-Judy, too small QB who can't put together consistent drives anymore against better teams.

He bails out of the pocket way too much and his arm is average at best by nfl standards. Saban has thisbfwtish with tiny QBs lately, and it hasn't worked as well as it did when he had the AJ McCarron types.

I’m not even talking about the pros. I’m just talking about playing at the college level. I think it was one of the Eagles or Dolphins WRs the other day on a podcast that said the QB is only as good as his #1….and honestly I feel like that rings true on both levels, pro and college.

He didn't lead his team to a win either.

That's some unmitigated horse shite right there. Dawg fans railing on Bryce are showing their full retard. Bryce beat that Dawg arse in the SECCG last season. He then lost his two best receivers and Bama lost to Georgia. Now Bryce sucks (eyeroll). Remove Bowers and McConkey and let's see how good Stetson is in that natty.

This isn't a shot at all Dawg fans. But some of y'all need to get a grip.

Is he the first Bama qb in the past 10-15 yrs to not win a natty as starter?

LSU led 14-9 in the 4th quarter.

Each drive he led in the 4th either took the lead or tied to go to OT.

Daniels just did it too.

This is where my problem with the perceptions of Bryce comes from, because this only rings true for QB's who are not of the elite level. When we faced Watson the first time in the NCG he didn't have his dynamic top guy in Mike Williams due to injury. They were so thin at receiver that he had to continually target a walk on in Renfrow. Yet Watson was still dominant. Bryce is being hyped as one of the greatest QB's to ever play in college and the greatest in Bama history, so he should not need guys destroying DB's every snap. It is clear that he does.

Even against Auburn he still had Metchie and was struggling because Metchie was not really playing as good as people like to think he was. A lot of Metchies big yardage plays came from the defense being terrified that Jameson was going to go for 6 on every pass play, and Metchie ended up being wide open with nobody within 15 yards of him. To start the season, before the A&M game where Jameson broke out, Metchie was not having a good season.

Said this last night. He’s best when he has to improvise a little, but that’s not the Bama way. He doesn’t sell the hand off at all (whether he keeps or not), he doesn’t get fired up, he appears to just expect to win.

And BoB’s uninspired playing calling doesn’t help much.
