Who would you like to see come in?
OC - Garrett Riley/TCU Texas guy who has had offense that put up numbers at both SMU and TCU.
DC -Lance Guidry from Marshall since he’s been around Louisiana most of his life and would give us some connections down that way.

My appologies for not reading the board 24/7.

We need to find the brightest and most creative young DC in the game and throw the bank at him. Sam's salary is middle of the pack so we need to catch up with the top of the league in salary pay by throwing the extra money at coordinators. We need a fresh, hungry mind that can scheme with what he has to work with. Our level of D recruiting will require a creative mind looking to make a name for himself.
I wouldn't be upset to go after an OC either, but we already have one that's bright and young and has a reputation for being creative. He makes some boneheaded calls sometimes in the context of the game, but I would also like to see what he can do with a QB that's more accurate and can put touch on short and intermediate throws. Briles has been hamstrung by KJ's limitations his whole tenure here, I'd like to see what he could do with a QB that can actually sling it all over the field with some accuracy and also read defenses.
Regardless we have to make some changes, what we're doing is clearly not working and it seems as if we've plateaued and maybe even regressed some.

I'm still a huge fan of Enos. If he's willing to come back and work with Sam again I'd be all for it. At the bare minimum we know he can develop QBs and calls a really balanced offense.

I'd take Enos back in a heartbeat. He's a lot like Briles but without the random drive-killing cutesy shite, and he can develop a QB to actually read defenses and make intermediate throws

I don’t see how it could be more balanced.
Of course if KJ was accurate we would have probably hundreds if not a thousand more yards in passing.

Didn't say we weren't balanced already, I think Briles is fine in that regard. Just saying we know from experience Enos would be balanced in his playcalling.

There’s no doubt Kendall’s scheme is excellent because it’s the same one lane runs for the most part and similar to what his dad ran when he was dominating the big 12. I think the only question is can he, and the other offensive coaches on staff, coach the players up to the level we need to be able to execute the scheme.

KJ's passing is just a smidgen better than Casey Dick's in Nutt's last year. Look at what a difference Petrino made in one year with him. I hope Sam was whispering a job offer to him after the Missouri St. game when they met mid-field. Co-head coach and OC or some shite. Then go get a real DC that can recruit.
I think Enos would be a good hire. My knock on Briles is that he was supposed to be able to develop QB's. I haven't seen a shite's difference in any of them since he arrived.

But I wouldnt mind Enos or Lunney…
Our fortunes won’t change until it’s top down though…

He was a complete liability before that. He was so bad he was getting his shite vandalized. I firmly believe Brandon Allen doesn't sniff the NFL without that year under Enos.
Enos may not have been able to fix everything about KJ, but I definitely think he'd be better than he is now as a second year starter. There's just been zero change from last year to this one under Briles.

See that’s the thing there’s a difference between being a great play caller/OC, and a guy who can develop talent. I love briles offense and the schemes we run it just doesn’t seem like we are developing players the way we need to.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me. Awfully convenient a random act of vandalism happened to the starting QB during a time he/the team were struggling.
I never looked into it all that much. Seemed like a pretty straightforward story to me. If there's evidence that indicates him being a Razorback wasn't involved in the motive, I'm not aware of it.
