Josh Primo issued a statement to ESPN
on his release from the Spurs:
"I know that you all are
surprised by today's
announcement. I've been
seeking help to deal with
previous trauma I suffered
and will now take this time
to focus on my mental health
treatment more fully. I hope
to be able to discuss these
issues in the future so I can
help others who have
suffered in a similar way. I
appreciate privacy at this
time.

No one wants women beaters on their team.

Idk man, I think if it was a domestic violence situation then we would already know. And it’d have to be real bad like the Miles Bridges situation for him to be cut like that. But the fact that everyone is so tight lipped is weird, makes me think it’s something worse.
Then the bit about “past trauma” in his statement like he’s trying to get out ahead of something. CP or messing with someone underage is my guess.

Alabama players are now known as women beaters. Such is the risk of letting women beaters remain on your team and the fanbase supporting the beating of innocent women.
Live and learn I guess.

Yes, yes, as fun as it is to troll Bama over their long, extensive history of players beating women and fellow students, I’m telling y’all something even more fricked up is going on here. Even with as bad as the Miles Bridges situation, we may not have known the exact details right away, but we knew exactly what he was accused of

From Primo’s statement it makes me think that he’s got some real issues with himself that need more attention than he can give while playing basketball so the Spurs decided to cut him one more check to set him up financially and let go focus on himself.
Because a for profit business like an NBA franchise are known to give free money to guys they have little to no history with.
TLDR highly unlikely.

Throw away all the rivalry between SEC schools caca that so often soils serious discussion around here, witness this thread, and there’s absolutely something going on.
San Antonio is an organization that will bend over backward to accommodate players, look how long they waited for David Robinson to get out of his military commitment. Popovich is on record as a mental health advocate. Primo was on billboards all over San Antonio as the new face of the franchise. Overnight they’ve pulled all his merchandise from the team store.
It’ll come out, it always does, not in twitter or message board gossip, but something WAY out of the ordinary triggered this.
And remember, we are literally talking about a teenager.
