10 years after devastating injury at South Carolina, Marcus Lattimore rediscovers his place in the game ESPN.com

It's long, but it's an outstanding read.

Always hated that for him. He was so talented as a freshman. Glad he’s doing well.

I remember watching that live. Felt terrible for the kid. Glad he has made the best of it.

There are a significant number of USC fans that will go to their deathbeds saying it was a dirty hit. I may or may not be in that camp...

Injuries like that are why I've never blamed college players for heading to the draft early

Not a fan of Lattimore after his police incident but glad to see he’s turning it around.

He was stopped during COVID in Nebraska by a state trooper and accused of running drugs (because he was a black man in a nice car with an out of state tag).

I don’t remember the hit as well as I do the injury.

But he always seemed like a candidate for a terrible leg injury to me.

His style of running with looong legs and the angles he’d plant and cut at just have to put someone in more danger than say, Darren Sproles.

I mean, the NSP admitted they brought in a K9 unit to sniff the car. Is that a normal thing for a traffic stop if they aren't looking for drugs?

This was also before George Floyd and being pro-BLM, anti-Police became all the rage.

Not a dirty hit, but by all means, continue to be angry about it. At this point I don't care what any of you GamePenises think

Clean tackle and an unfortunate injury

I personally never thought it was a dirty hit either, but there's no need to post about it if you don't care about it Balls&Shaft83.

One of my favorite SEC backs of all time. Loved that dude.

eta: damn he looks old in that pic and i've got him beat by a little over a year. Watching a decade pass in what seems like a blink of an eye sucks

Same. What a terrible way to go out. Injured against a worthless 5-7 Lame Duck Dooley squad with Worley as starting QB. I felt so bad for the guy
