Now he is our coach and leading Hendon Hooker on his own Heisman quest and a Tennesee offense that is on pace to be our best ever production wise and perhaps an all time unit in the SEC.
Funny how things work out. I remember seeing Heupel on the front cover of one of the old playstation NCAA football game cases.
Heisman runner up Josh Heupel
Also he lost to Chris Weinke of FSU who was Tennessee 's QB coach as well right before he got here.

So you’re saying Hooker will be snubbed as well?

There is a very good chance we win out and he gets snubbed for Stroud of Ohio State.

Nah, if y’all win out Hendon has the Heisman in the bag.

I am not sure the dots are as connected as you think they are.

The body of work between Hooker and Stroud isn’t even comparable imo.

Yes, clearly, to a normal person like you or me.
But this is the media we are talking about here.

Everyone knows Bryce Young is gonna repeat. The media has been trying to give it to him again for weeks.

I thought a better QB won the Heisman in 1996?
One that humiliated Peyton and the Vols that year?
I forget his name..............Not really, he is just remembered as Danny.

They snubbed George Cafego. They snubbed Hank Lauricella, a good old New Orleans boy who played for Tennessee. They snubbed Johnny Majors. Even Paul Hornung who won the Heisman said Majors should have won it. To this day Paul Hornung is the only person who ever played for a losing team and won the Heisman. We all saw what happened to Peyton Manning. That was a vendetta that ESPN has against Tennessee. They hate Tennessee.
My dream is for a Tennessee player to win the Heisman and not bother to show up for the ceremony and collect it.

During the second quarter of the Bama game, when he was still +800, I threw $25 on Hooker to win the Heisman...I'll win $200. Now he's only +200.

If Bama runs the table and beats UT in the SEC championship game, then you might be right. But, like I said, there’s no way they Hooker doesn’t win the Heisman if UT wins out.

I think woodson deserved the heisman. He was a playmaker all year, made big plays in big games on national championship team.

That would be pretty epic actually. Revenge for all the snubs.

The first defensive player ever to win it...over Peyton freakin Manning.
Yeah no thanks. Defensive players have their own set of awards.
