I have been on the players quite a bit over the last few years for being a bunch of whiny, mollycoddled little bitches who are only in it for the money, but this is one issue that I am on the player's side. You have been banging heads (term from the old days then you could bang heads) with the other team for 3+ hours and just lost either a huge game or got upset by a huge underdog, and now you have to deal with a bunch of drunken idiots getting in your face to rub it in.

Now when you throw being a woman in the mix, and the unwritten rule that you can never harm a woman no matter what she does, I think that may be a bridge too far for me.

9/10 times I am siding with the player here, because you need to give them some space after a loss like this imo.

Let me guess, you beat your kids and your dogs too.

There is absolutely no reason for any football player to hit any fan, man or woman, because he is frustrated. He needs to be arrested, put in jail and kicked off the team forever. He does not need to be on the field if he can't control himself. These players are adults and need to act like it.

If the victim is willing to let it fly, then so be it. There is no way you can make up an excuse for his actions that make him the victim in this incident.

You watch the video? She dodged to her left. He had to fully extend his right arm to clock her. She wasn't "in his face"

Psh, imagine how the fan feels. You wake up early, get liquored up. The struggle to walk to the stadium is real. You enter the stadium with your $200 ticket to sit in the lower bowl, but it’s Tennessee, so you’re sitting on someone’s lap in tight quarters. You scream your lungs out for 4 hours, and your Vols FINALLY knock off Bama. The poor girl was full of emotion and trying to celebrate with her friends and some savage in armor comes up and straight smacks her. Terrible.

Then again, you probably would defend the ‘08 Gators with a rap sheet too.
