My inner voice tells me that I, unlike you, am a fan of only one team. And that one team is defending NC. 1998.

You might. Hard to believe off but they’ve done well so far

A chance to break yet another streak sounds good to me.

Tennessee beats UGA this year.

You’re not off base, I would have the spread at UGA -3.5 for home field. TN has looked like the better team relative to competition. Not sure why this opinion isn’t a bit more mainstream like UGA has looked unbeatable or something, I couldn’t tell you.

I guess we’ll still play, though.

Laid coin on TN +11.5. Anything over a TD is absurd. FL keeps it within 10 and that number will tank.
How much "coin did you lay" and who did ya book with? Online? Local bookie? Offshore?

Do you think those folks who come up with spreads are incompetent or just idiots who don't know CFB?
I remember when they had Auburn +28 vs
UGS and this place had the same reaction with multiple folks claiming the loaded up on AU.

And we most likely hold them under their season average just like the rest our opponents. UT is allowinf opponents to score over their average this year. Combined with it being in Sanford doesnt bode well for a finesse ACC team like UT.

I put $100 on it, what the hell is to you? Coin is coin.
I bet it on Fan Duel, again, what the hell is it to you?

I don't think the people who come up with spreads are incompetent by any stretch of the imagination. These guys are odds makers, not CFB geniuses. CFB geniuses coach football, and many fail.
So let me ask you... do you know what an odds maker is?
Do you really believe that they give a shite if the line is 24 or 28 as long they are protected? It's not a prediction dummy.

Well I don't know what to make of Jawjaw yet. Their lack of a tough schedule makes it hard to appraise them. WIth that said, I can honestly say I have much greater concerns facing them then I did Bama. Jawjaw will be best Defense we have played to that date. Defense still matters if you want to get through teh SECCG.

Huepel's timing was shitty. Any new coach in the East would much rather play Georgia at home in year 2.
Yes, I mean it wasn't like it was a fifty fifty shot.
If he had been hired at any point after last season, he would've hit that ten year stretch of Tennessee playing Georgia in Neyland.

True we both have played shitty schedules. Only one top ten team in each.

There are very few "geniuses" who coach
CFB.The more successful ones are grinders who are very good at motivating young men.
BTW I've seen and heard ex coaches on radio and TV.They are very good at predictions or point spreads.

They should favored at this point. Last years UGA D was deep and talented and hasn’t been tested this year.
UGA played the team ranked 8th in total offense and 9th in scoring offense. They held them to a touch over 300 yards and 3 points. There aren’t a whole lot of tests for a defense better than that. To UTs credit, they are one of them but to say UGA has an untested defense is silly. They just crushed the test they had.

First games of the year typically mean very little in college football. Especially ones against a team with a new QB in their system Bo Nix.
Teams make their biggest improvements in weeks 3 to 5 usually.
I have the vols winning 58 to 41 over UGA. We will have our most clutch WR Cedric Tilman back and will probably be healthier on defense as well.

as long as kirby is our head coach we will never give up 58 points. Unless we bring back james coley and he gifts the other team a few touchdowns from his incompetence.

We just scored more points on Saban at Bama without our no. 1 WR than anyone else has, so.....

Yes, I'd like to know about that vaunted Pitt team that beat GT. Oh wait, they lost. Nevermind.
