Most accounts from people at the stadium are saying the flag was thrown once Kool Aid was approaching mid-field. Now whether that flag was for PI or the block in the back, that’s a different story.

What will really cook your noodle is asking whether or not they would’ve thrown the flag if we had just batted the ball down since it was 4th Down.

Yeah, I got blasted a bit on this. I still think it's a fair question.
Many times, you'll see plays seemingly get reviewed or flagged when things drag on. Such as a long INT return.

Way WAAAY too late to be acceptable. A ref can't wait to see the outcome of the play, think of the results, and then throw a flag based on which team his uncle bet on. If its not within 2-3 seconds, it shouldn't be thrown.

Rumor is they just threw another flag on us.

Went to a flag throwing contest and a football game broke out.

From what I recall, there were two flags. The midfield one, Gary believed was a block in the back [and the refs picked up].

The original PI, was late, taking almost 20 seconds for the Paypal transaction to process.

A guy all the way across the field throws a flag and the guy literally next to the play doesn’t.

That’s bullshite.

I’ve watched a lot of football. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the refs congregate 10 seconds after the contact and throw a flag for interference. I’m skeptical

This thread just gets me all pissed off again. I was losing my damn mind during the game at the blatant cheating. Its a good thing I watched that game alone.

What’s the context here? Did the circled ref throw the flag that you see in the endzone?

ETA: That’s the pylon. Holy shite if the PI was thrown by that ref at that moment that’s horseshite. There’s no telling how obstructed his view was

Actually was told by a fan sitting in the endzone where flag was thrown.
He said out of all he was pissed off about, that was the worse.
That the flag was indeed delayed. Intentionally thrown once Kool-aid had gotten downfield with the ball.
Now I'm also hearing this morning, this is the same crew who botched the 2020 Bo Nix spike the ball backwards AU/Arkansas game.
They were thus suspended.

I know a ref. I am going to follow up with him about this game and crew. I am betting its heavily reviewed by the SEC office. They were indeed letting their emotions call this game for them.

So the official that was within 5 yards of the play doesn't throw the flag bit the one 100ft away does. Just more bs.

And a good 7-8 seconds after the "interference" happened. Total bullshite. We played horribly, but if that sequence isn't botched we probably win the game.

Does anyone have a video from that angle of the play? That’s what is needed to better judge. A still picture (PP INT from 09) doesn’t always show the whole event.

Forget the wrong call…my question is how in the world did anyone catch koolaid….look at all that open field!

a couple of things about that play....

The official that threw the flag probably thought Koolaid was taking it to the house

No player's number was ever given on the interception call

The other flag was for blind side block, which they waved off

Now for the conspiracy folks, do all schools put in an order a week ahead of time for new goal posts?
