You know how you know you need to do something different but what you have been doing is still working? Maybe this is what pushes Nick to change OC and DC. Maybe even schematically evaluate the defense.
I mean how do you return Bryce and Will and the plethora of others and lose to UT? Answer is simple, out schemed and out coached. Our dbs are constantly burned or get pi calls. Other than recruiting slimmer guys for the dl I don't think our defense has changed in 15 years. The offense has because it had to and we had some great oc.
What took the field tonight, and Frankly the whole season looks nothing like 2008-2019 period. Nick chalked up last year to rebuilding, well WTF then this year buddy?

He’s become complacent. Just happens when you’ve been so dominant. He’s still the GOAT. Just have to start accepting what we have. We are never going back to domination. May still win a championship, but it’ll never look like it did.

Why would it not have been one of the myriad other times this team has massively underperformed these last two seasons.

I am sorry to say that I don’t see either scheme changing. Bryce and Gibbs cover up a lot of our deficiencies on offense. Our defense with Pete Golding takes on his personality. They play sloppy, give poor effort, and the DC cannot make any adjustments. We allowed 1 TN player to catch 5 touchdowns tonight. I have never been as disgusted by a defensive performance as I am from this game tonight.

Went back to denial then jumped to anger.
I'm just having fun with this. Totally understand everyone's frustration.
