I am by no means an expert but even I notice it. This bullshite, which not to pile on but is exclusively a problem in the BoB era, has emerged no less than 5 times in recent years. Especially on the road. Too many checks and overthinking. It routinely lets the defense tee-off on Bryce, manufacturers 3rd and longs, has created long periods of stagnant offense, and has allowed inferior teams to hang around

For this week, it is particularly important that we dont do this:

A. Tennessee does a great job pressuring the QB

B. Neyland is gonna be an absolute nuthouse. We are begging for false starts, delays, and easy qb pressures if we keep up this habit

C. Tennessee’s back 7 is prone to coverage busts and doesn’t tackle well. We need a game plan that highlights this instead of masking it for them

Conclusion: For the love of God just let Bryce and the boys play a little bit. I’m not saying go 2 minute offense for an entire game, but speed it up a little bit, trust the play-call, trust Bryce to make reads, and see if we can’t surgically needle their defense to death. It could be the difference between us seeing 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 12 all day

I hope we throw the ball down the field, instead of these 5 yard behind the LOS screens.

Exactly right. Why we, on the road in particular, continue to allow the crowd to amp up as we stand at the line for 20 seconds and basically allow the entire defensive front to get down in their blocks and tee off when we snap it with one second is a mystery. Have to mix it up better.

You know it's coming. Loud road environment. Saban will want to slow it down to give our defense a break and Bryce will have to check out of BoB's mess all day.

Only for us to begrudgingly speed things up to remarkable success

2021 Texas A&M, 2021 Auburn, SECCG, and final drive of Texas. Overthinking has been our greatest enemy. Bryce is an amazing instinctual QB. Let the man cook

We’re going to do it along with every other frustrating thing we tend to do.

We're going to get a personal foul penalty at the worst possible time as always and I will lose my ever-loving mind

I assume this is a function of Bryce being allowed to make pre-snap reads and adjustments, but yes, for the love I wish we would stop doing this too.

I know I've beaten the efficiency metric to death, and I don't even know if it's real or imagined, but it just feels like we're playing behind the chains a ton this season.

You mean we're going to not call for a fair catch on a kickoff inside the 5 yard line. Then get a half the distance to the goal line penalty for a block in the back, when we could have gotten the ball on the 25 yard line to start with? Or have a player right over the football jump offsides listening to a hard count instead of just watching the ball?

The only time we snap the ball with >15 seconds on the play clock is late 4th quarter and we're clinging to a 7 point lead and the opponent is out of time outs.

As panthers just stated we were actually snapping fairly quickly and up tempo before Bryce got hurt at Arky.

If Milroe is playing we should be running a Nick Marshall offense. Gus would wreck shite with that dude. I don't think it'd be enough to win a ship, but he would be blowing out scrub teams like ATM.

I think a lot it was Bryce changing the plays, against Arky we changed it up and stayed with the play, you kinda got to do that on the road unless you’re up big.

I've been screaming about this since the second quarter of the Texas game. When we get the play in with more than 10 seconds on the clock, the offense is pretty efficient.

When it's under 10, we look like Tulane.
