I stole this from elsewhere:

quote:

They've given up an average of 587 yards and over 48 points in their last 3 games!

The worst defense ever in the history of the Big 12 is Kansas who gave up 560 ypg on a season.

The worst defense in college history gave up 50 points a game (Louisiana)

They lost a lot of dudes to the transfer portal when LR left.

Is this an actual board for all big 12 discussion or just a board of a particular big 12 team

Still not an excuse to be that bad. I’ll allow some wiggle room but this wouldn’t fly as an excuse in the SEC.

I thought LSU was in trouble but nothing compares to where Oklahoma is at right now.

Kelly has been a head coach for over 30 years and at 4 different programs and he's been a consistent winner at all of them. He may not get the results relative to expectations at LSU, but they won't be a shaitshow.

Venables is a first year defensive minded head coach at a school and in a conference that doesn't play defense.

You're in a VASTLY better situation than Oklahoma.

What little experienced talent we had on defense went to the NFL. Brent's defense is predicated on rushing the passer, we cannot do it, and I mean at all the last 3 weeks.

Offense has been terrible the last 3 weeks, hurt QB doesn't help. What umpf the defense does have is toast by the 2nd half as the defense is always on the field.

Top 5 recruiting class goin, help is on the way. Brent has a few years to figure it out, especially if he continues to recruit like they are.

But this bad, no excuses. We suck.

But in short, no one knows why it has been this bad.

They hired a head coach that made his living off of completely legal sophisticated sign stealing operation. Teams just figure out how to get around it.

Does the fact that he admits the theft remove charges of plagiarism????

Wholesale coaching turnover. Lost some commits, lost players to the transfer portal. Defense has sucked for a while, but it's been covered by amazing QB play. Gabriel is out, so the offense is pedestrian.

I think they have good coaches. They're just going to have to recruit their way out, quickly.

There is something rotten in Norman. Bigger than just Venables being a shitty coach. I think he can climb out of this hole in time but they fricking QUIT on Saturday. Players and the staff both gave up. I've never seen that out of them. I knew Riley did a number on them but damn.

It's a shite show. There is a lot of softness left over from Riley's classes. Not used to tough football coaches, and they are out of gas, as ridiculous as that sounds. Just like Sark, BV is going to have to process a lot of dudes after the season, and recruit very well and hit the portal.

In a word: karma. They've got it coming, and it is glorious.

And it's only appropriate to confess your theft when discussing Oklahoma. They are, after all, the land thieves.
