The Insane Rise of Alabama Soccer.

This week, #4 Alabama Soccer...
-scored 4 goals on a ranked Ole Miss team that hadn't surrendered more than one goal a game all year.
-Traveled to Baton Rouge and walloped LSU 5-0
-#3 Florida State took down #2 Virginia
-FSU follow it up today by losing to Notre Dame.
New rankings come out Monday. How high can this dream run go?
Fun tidbit: Alabama marketing had a small riot on their hands at the Ole Miss game as the give-away of the day, free soccer scarves only ordered enough for an "average" soccer season of a couple hundred fans. Over a thousand Bama fans showed up and the merch was gone in 10 minutes.

Yes.
Alabama boasts 0 All-Americans
0 SEC Titles regular or tournament
4 All time NCAA Tournament Appearances, the 4th coming last year.
Their banner year up till now was winning the West in 1998
2021's Tournament Appearance also featured their first ever post-season win.
Alabama Soccer's existence has mostly been about qualifying for the SEC Tournament (ie, not finishing bottom 4 or 2).
After today's win, Alabama's season will focus on nearly locking up the SEC at home vs a Top 10 Arkansas team and securing their first ever NCAA Regional hosting gig.
Alabama boasts 0 All-Americans

I’ve been following this year because my little one started playing again. It’s been a fun year and this group of girls are very talented and well coached.

For real. State wise, Alabama's HS and club soccer is pretty lackluster, especially compared to Florida or even Georgia.
Auburn has us beat with.... 3 on their roster, and they're 2-3 in the conference.

Its been a fun ride so far.
Team is deep mature disciplined and hungry. Great mix of possession speed and intensity.

RPI just updated, the Tide is up to #3.
Alabama Football and Futbol are ranked the same for the first time
(although this may have happened during the Mikes Era,but who was even paying attention?)
McKinley Crone, Felica Knox, Riley Mattingly and Reyna Reyes should be All-SEC candidates... and Wes Hart should be a shoe in for SEC Coach of the Year if we can clinch the conference.
