I had a chance to be on the field yesterday for a little bit and I paid attention to Stet.

His arm seems to constantly be bother him, swinging it around, working it out, trying to keep it warmed up.

It looked like he is more injured than people are letting on and he has a bad “feel” for the deep ball because of it.

Any thoughts out there?

We could easily beat vandy without him. If he’s injured, then he should sit out next week.

Most qbs at least have some kind sprained shoulder or rotator cuff injury half way in.

I also think he is trying too hard to throw perfect passes instead of just putting it out their where our guy can catch it deep.

Hopefully we can build a strong lead in the first 1st qb and get him rested. Beck needs some real snaps when it matters.

I think Beck should have played tbh.

There is little to no drop off between Beck and Stetson in my opinion.

As much as I want to agree with you, I disagree.. there is a reason Stetson is the starter, he may be dinged up but the staff still feels he gives them the best chance to win. Even when Beck comes in late in the game he has sometimes 2-3 boneheaded plays. Beck has a cannon, but he does not have that ability to make plays with his legs like Stetson.

Yep, Bennett missed badly on several passes to wide-open receivers yesterday.
His arm strength is an issue on all long passes IMO; he just seems to heave it out there as far as he can throw it but it's obvious that he has a shoulder injury that is affected his overall throwing accuracy.
We have a strong stable of RB's.
I would sit Bennett until we need him vs Tennessee and Bama.
Beck should be fine vs Vandy.

Hard to say. But, yea what we gain with Bennett's mobility, might be offset by Beck's height, stronger arm and increased passing accuracy especially on long passes.

How’d that work out for Bennett’s predecessor? If Scoutie sits, he might not play again. Just sayin

What 2-3 bone head plays? Maybe last year but Beck has come along way from last year

I've only watched once, but I can only recall 2 throws where he missed badly. The other misses hit hands or were drops.

We are close, in my opinion. Just keep chopping.

Imma defer to CKS, I'm sure he knows a lil more than me and more than most on here. I think he'll play who he feels gives him the best chance to win ..

I agree. Beck may be right there with stet.
But there is zero evidence to the fans in the stands or on our sofa.

It feels like excuses are being made for poor performance.

Based off what?

His limited snaps this season?

Unless you've observed both in practices not sure how anyone could know if he is isn't.

If Stetson and Beck are our best two options at qb, and I’m not saying they’re bad options stet usually gets it done though he’s been shaky the last few games… anyways if they’re the best two options what the frick are those other two five star kids doing at practice? Playing grab arse?

Feels like people are over analyzing everything and have set expectation that peyton manning could not live up to.

Sorry, boneheaded plays was a little excessive.. when I say that I’m talking his pre snap reads to adjust or get the blocking shifted. I can remember two run plays that he totally missed on adjusting the assignment. Let me look into what games they were..

Kirby has to have extreme confidence in qbs to limit turnovers... Its why it has shaken out this way.

That and 5star qb ratings may only be right 1 out 5 times based on all the transfers and busts.

Furthered by all the sure things in college that are out of the nfl in 3 seasons.

Based on 25 yards passing in the first half of the game.
