Pretty sure this is the biggest issue we have this year.

Conner Riley does a great job of addressing it here.

It's a lack of senior leadership and there's not a whole lot that can fix it other than time and snaps. I think that more than anything accounts for the up/down nature of this season so far. We saw the same thing from Bama last season and yep, it was attributed to the team being young.

I don't think "leadership" is the biggest issue.

I'd put "experience" as a bigger issue than leadership.

We have some questions about talent at a few key spots. But even a talent gap can be dulled with more experience.

New oline coach is our biggest problem, switching from zone to gap, so many plays last weekend were blown up by one missed assignment or poor effort blocking.

Think much of our problems in defense are created by lack of sustained drives on O. Though i see this working as a win as iron sharpens iron.

We ran a ton of gap scheme the second half of last year.

Right now, it is our best run scheme.

I'm more concerned about our tackles getting speed rushed around the edge than our run blocking.

Defense isn’t the problem, it’s the offense. The defense isn’t quite as good as last year, but it’s the miscues by the offense that are putting the defense in bad positions. If our offensive line played up to standards, we wouldn’t be having close games.
