Team Chemistry and Leadership

Between the pregame Shenanigans with Carter and Mizzou and then the obvious arguing on the sideline amongst the defensive players after the TD, are we missing that team chemistry mojo we had last year?
I feel like Stetson probably is trying to lead, but I really think we are missing leadership upfront on defense and offensive lines.
What say you all?

that was strange to see. Very out of character from what we've come to know the last few years

this is a nothingburger and happens all the time. A notable example would be last year in the title game when nakobe chewed tindall the frick out (on the field, during play) after he messed up. It happens.

I do agree that it seems like we're missing some leadership. I can't remember specifically btu I want to say I heard Kirby say something similar within the last few weeks. When you have guys like nakobe and jordan davis and quay and cine that have been aroudn forever all leave at once I can see how it'd be tough to replace that.

Really thought Nolan would step up into Nakobes role as leader on D but I just don’t think he’s that type of guy. He ain’t vocal.

Dumas Johnson is extremely vocal.

Isn't he the one who lit into Lassiter after that big play?

Yes, he is going to be the next big thing only playing mike.

Young team that lost a lot of leadership and experience. It will take time. The before game stuff I do not like, but the Defense guys seemed to be passionate and more of a rise to our level type thing.

Like Kirbys half time speech from last year about breaking the other teams undisciplined asses and not saying shite.

Nolan pulled jdj to the side on the sideline after he went off.
We don't see everything that goes on.
I think Nolan is doing his job.

I thought this was Dumas Johnson stepping up like Nakobe did last year.

Did you forget Nakobe doing something like that to Tindall last year? That is leadership.

Glad he’s trying to lead but remember, when Nakobe went off had a lot of cache built up. Almost 3 full years starting. All American. Butkus award. He had the rep to undress anyone and he didn’t do it hardly ever publicly. JDJ has started 5 games.

Uhhhh, you need to get the opportunity to be down on the field or at a practice. He is the exact opposite.
Last year was the greatest collection of talent and character the school has ever seen. There was always going to be a drop in leadership. That doesn't mean it's not there though.

Last year was a once a generational defense. We have young guys up front. Bear is going to be a beast with some experience. We just have to hope they gather themselves as we have Auburn, Vandy and Florida as down year football teams. Then We have Tennessee, Kentucky and Miss. State to worry about as possible losses with the current way they are playing. I was at the Kent State game. That game was a lot closer than the score. Let's hope they gel in the coming 3 games.
