Aside from some inaccurate snaps, he looked pretty good to me in pass/run blocking. Do y'all think he won the starting job going forward?

His snaps are humming between 95-97 mph.

Needs a little Greg Maddux instead of Aroldis Chapman.

He should have won the starting job after the Auburn game, last year.

Yes he should have been the starter from the start of the season.

If by some, you mean half of them. I agree with the person who said this is likely why he hasn't been the starter already. He's a better blocker than Dalcourt, but if you're in shotgun 100% of the time and the snaps are all over the place it's a disaster waiting to happen.

If he fixes that though, he is easily the better player.

If he’s not starting than you’ve got to seriously question both the oline coach and the head coach. Honestly you can go ahead and question that offensive line coach as to why in the hell he hasn’t been starting the whole year.

Reminds me of 2014 when we went with the more talented guy, Ryan Kelly, over the bulldog, Chad Lindsey.

Yes, Kelly ended up being the superior player, but we were better off with Lindsey going into the playoffs that season.

None of you are concerned his errant and fast snaps will lead to turnovers or blow up drives? I think he is a better run blocker by far, but I think the reason he won't get the job is he is high risk, high reward. Unless he gets better he is going to blow up some drives and cost us the ball in some critical situations.

As noted above, 95% of our offense is out of the gun. Shotgun snaps have to be better or he can't play.

His snaps last year were fine.

He's just getting warmed up.

I joked about it in the game thread, but seriously, BY and JM are different sizes (by a pretty large margin). I think if SM had a week of practice with JM, he'd be good to go.

It seems like a pretty correctable issue I'd think

I hear what your saying but for a guy who snaps too hard and errant I think there a better way to phrase it .

He's been the best. Our coaches tend to have Stevie Wonder type eye sight.

As errant as his snaps were, they were nothing compared to Hibbert's punt snap.

That thing looked like a Single A pitcher trying to make a roster.

I am just going to believe he thought it was a Rugby punt as a way of coping.

Some his snaps was hitting them in the hands and they just dropped them.

I think Hibbett thought Burnip was kicking Aussie style.

I'm guessing lol
